The House is "Rock-in"

This last week was pretty slow due to the holiday. Thanks a lot Thanksgiving... uh, right! Anyway, they trenched power to the house and got it hooked up. I was able to do some work there as well, ran some speaker wire and built a backdrop for the windows above the front porch that look into the attic.

And then today they started hanging rock(drywall). At the rate their going it should be finished before the end of the week... hopefully.

Roofing and Electrical Rough-In Finished

This week the roofers finally finished, therefore the electrical contractor was able to finish the rough-ins under a dry roof.  We were very happy with the electrical contractor, he was willing to work with all of our requests and even had suggestions for added things here and there.  They were awesome to work with.

The picture below is our well pump controller and pressure tank.  It is a constant-pressure system that will provide constant pressure even when multiple fixtures are in use and the water pressure can be increased or decreased with the touch of a button.  Pretty cool I think.

Exterior Doors Installed

This week the exterior doors were installed, the electricians are about done and the roofers made good progress despite weather from Hurricane Sandy. I love how we had almost record drought conditions all summer, but as soon as we started building there hasn't been a week WITHOUT rain or wind. Frustrating...
